Minister Writes To Piyush Goyal, Warns Of Stampede At Gwalior Station

Gwalior:  Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar has written a letter to Minister of Railways Piyush Goyal stating that mistaken info allegedly displayed on the boards at Gwalior station might trigger chaos and result in a stampede like scenario.Mr Tomar, Minister for Rural Improvement and Panchayati Raj, witnessed the chaotic scenario on the intervening nights of September 30 and October 1 on the station when he reached there to board the Jabalpur-Nizamuddin prepare.

“The place of coaches displayed on the knowledge board varies from the precise place on the platform which resulted in chaos and will result in a severe scenario some day,” Mr Tomar, who’s an MP from Gwalior identified within the letter, which was written on October 1.
